Sherbanger - Lucky Elk Outdoor Flower Review
Lucky Elk — Sherbanger (Outdoor) Flower Review
Product Info
Vendor: Lucky Elk
Strain: Sherbanger
Type: Sungrown / Outdoor Flower
Sample Size: 3.5g
First Impressions & Appearance
Lucky Elk continues to impress with presentation. The clean white mylar stands out immediately and feels intentional, not just another bag on the shelf. Inside were medium to large buds with a fluffy structure and great moisture retention.
Color-wise, Sherbanger leans into a fresh light green palette with plenty of orange hairs popping throughout. Frost coverage is very solid for sungrown flower. It may not be dripping like ultra premium indoor, but it absolutely holds its own visually.
Trim quality is respectable for outdoor. A few sugar leaves and even a loose stem made an appearance, but nothing that hurt the smoking experience. Overall, very clean and very usable flower.
Moisture & Breakdown
This is sticky bud. When pulled apart by hand there’s that slight resinous resistance that lets you know it was handled and cured properly. Not dry, not overly wet, just right. It maintains structure while still being fluffy enough to work with easily.
Aroma
Cracking the bag releases a wave of sour gas backed by an earthy punch. A classic and very inviting profile.
After breaking it down, the nose opens up even more. The sour note still leads, but underneath it you start finding layers of sweet fruit and a light creaminess that round everything out nicely.
It’s a surprisingly complex aroma for an outdoor grow.
Flavor
Sherbanger leans into its gassy roots on the inhale, finishing with a grounded earthy tone. On the exhale, subtle sweet fruit notes peek through and add some dimension without overpowering the classic profile.
If you enjoy traditional gas-forward strains, this one will feel very familiar in a good way.
Smoke Quality
Salt and pepper ash showed up in the joint along with a clean oil ring. What stood out most was the smoothness — something outdoor flower doesn’t always nail.
The slightly higher moisture helped it burn slower and cooler, making for a relaxed session without harshness.
Effects
Effects settled in around the 10-minute mark and delivered a true full-spectrum experience.
Mentally, I felt calm but bright, with a noticeable wave of euphoria that kept the mood elevated. The experience gradually transitions into a comfortable relaxation that never feels overwhelming.
This is versatile flower, easily usable throughout the day depending on your tolerance.
Final Thoughts
What impressed me most about Sherbanger is the overall quality relative to its sungrown status. Outdoor flower often carries unfair assumptions, but this is a reminder that when done correctly, it can absolutely compete where it matters, flavor, smoothness, and effects.
For smokers who enjoy classic gas profiles, balanced effects, and a more budget-friendly option compared to top-shelf indoor, this is an easy recommendation.
