Elk Creek Genetics - Honey Banana Papaya Rosin Pen Review

Image
This came as a sample in a premium glass tube. The branding and design are unique and list all the useful information you would need.  Opening the tube and removing the rubber stopper you are actually met with a nice light oil smell. It's sweet, hashy and fresh smelling. Very impressive for a pen.  Tasting the oil you get a flavor that isn't the usual for a Honey Banana strain. This one I get a baseline of fresh papaya on the inhale, it's sweet but more fresh than anything. On the exhale it gets complex, there's a bit of banana bread going on but the sweetness is mellow and takes a backseat, it's warm and a little earthy as well. I absolutely love this one.  The effect profile is solid. It opens with a euphoric and uplifting mentality that is very manageable and boosts my mood. This slowly transitioned into a deep physical relaxation that soothed my muscles.  The hardware held up great! I didn't have to charge it once, it gave full rich v...

Alderson Family Farms - Peach Tarts Review

Image
Alderson Family Farms - Peach Tarts   This sample arrived in a black puck with a label that lists the strain and the volume of material. Alderson made sure to send labs for all products sent as well.  Cracking open the jar you are met with a very pale in color oil that has a very loose texture. The oil is barely able to stay on a tool without falling off. There is a bit of a sugar like texture in the oil bust mostly smooth.  The aroma is very mild but sweet. You definitely get a peach aroma but then a sweet gas note follows. The peach lends the sweetness and the gas brings it all together.  The taste is great, when you vaporize this oil it becomes much more rich in flavor than the smell lets on. The peach comes in first, it's more candy like than natural peach. The gas note is on the exhale and is slightly peppery as well, a nice way to blend everything together.  The effects with this one are awesome. I got extreme mental clarity an...

Smoky Mountain CBD - Zushi Review

Image
This is my first time trying Smoky Mountain CBD, and so far they are leaving a fantastic impression, I can't believe I hadn't tried them sooner.  This sample of flower arrived in a premium mylar bag that features branding, strain and weight info, a QR code for labs, and a hemp warning/notification. The design is clean and modern, it lets what's inside do the talking.  Opening the bag you are met with medium to small buds that have a chunky, fuzzy structure. The colors are all over the place, multiple greens that flow into purple seamlessly, bright pistils that are caked in trichomes, and a intense frost that is cream colored. It's a very visually appealing flower that has a great trim.  If you haven't already, check Smoky Mountain CBD out here! The smell is ridiculously intense, as soon as the bag is cracked open it explodes with terpenes and gas. The smell is zesty with a general citrus smell that's baked by layers of diesel and earthine...

BBxLG - Sour Diesal Live Resin AIO Review

Image
This sample came to me in a very premium package, like something you would get off the shelf in a recreational state. It's a hard plastic case that has store branding, strain name and breakdown, percentages, and even the batch and manufacturing date. You can tell the people at BBxLG take their presentation game very seriously and it shows, this should be an industry example of packaging.  The vape itself is very slick. It's small, about the size of a game boy cartridge. The texture on the wrap is very premium and makes it nice to hold. The window for the oil is wide and shows a golden resin that's on the thicker side. Overall a nice feeling and looking product.  The taste on this bad boy is lemon out the wazoo, super zesty and almost sour. It's impressive for a disposable to have this level of flavor pungency. I tested another BBxLG vape and the profile is totally different, they are definitely using premium, strain specific oil for t...

Flannel Boyz - Kings Of LA #5 Review

Image
This was a sample provided by flannel boyz, it came in a premium jar that had the brand labeled and strain info on the side. Included in the jar was a humidity control pack, a huge plus for keeping the flower fresh.  This flower looks killer, it has a nice collection of greens, some light purples, and oranges that make it really pop. The structure is very bulbus and the flower itself is semi dense.  The nose out of the jar is very earthy meets gas. The first note I got was fresh earth, forest like, then a big wave of gas hit me. This isn't a sweet cut and I appreciate that.  Taste is close to the smell but I lost a lot of that earthiness and instead I get that deep gassiness that's almost skunk like from the smell, and a creamy funky end note. I personally love strains that let the gas do the talking.  I enjoyed this on a late night so that may bias this opinion but this flower hit me like a truck. Very heavy stoney feeling behind the eyes and...

Tangie OG - Black Tie CBD

Image
Tangie OG - Black Tie CBD This sample arrived in a beautiful box that opens to present you with a puck of rosin.  The first impression I got after opening the puck was the nose, it's super bright, fresh, and inviting. The color of the rosin is a nice pale gold. It's light and looks fresh. The texture is a bit dry out of the box but after sitting in the fridge for a while it loosened up into something more buttery. Minimal terp separation.  The smell here is like a bright walk in a park, it opens with sharp but easy oranges and lemon, then rides a mello floral gassy note to the end. It's somewhat simple but it's so inviting and fresh that it's hard to take your nose away.  Taste is good but leaves a little to be desired after the smell. It opens with soft oranges and a tad of lemon, then it turns into something more floral on the exhale. You get slight gas but more floral flowery notes that take me away from the citrus. It's solid but I wa...

Alderson Family Farms - Rainbow Skittles

Image
Rainbow Skittles - Alderson Family Farms  This was a sample provided by Alderson Family Farms. The first impression when you open the jar is how frosty these buds are, you get top to bottom trichome coverage. They are medium sized with some darker and lighter greens mixed together. The trim is good but not perfect, there are a few sugar leaves still on.  This flower smells very sweet and fruity forward but with an intense gas following it. You get cherry and berry aromas with a nose burning gas, it's a very nice balance of sweet and gassy.  The flavor follows closely behind the smell with only a few differences. On the inhale you get a baseline sweetness with some fruit on the palate, but it's not as strong as the smell. The real star in the taste is the gassy note you get on the exhale, it's super intense and coats the mouth, it reminds me of an OG.  Effects go from Mentally and physically uplifting to a nice relaxing vibe. Mentally you get ...

Southern Harvest Hemp - Motor Breath Review

Image
This was a 14g puck that came in a mini glass jar with a plastic lid. The outside has no branding or decals, only a sticker labeling the strain and texture.   Opening the lid you are met with a beautiful golden yellow sugar, that's slightly translucent. The texture is wet sand like, not dry, it has a good amount of sauce along with the sugar crystals. Before mixing the sugar was a little chunky, but after you get a nice consistent texture.  The smell is amazing for a BHO. You truly get strain specific smells here. When I opened the lid my room was flooded with a dank gassy and slightly sweet smell. It's a large and in charge smell that will linger long after the jar is closed. When you get your nose right up in the jar you get super intense gas, some sweetness, and a tad of GMO like funk, it's layered and satisfying.  The taste isn't quite as intense for me as the smell but it's in no way muted or bad. It's just a softer version of the sm...

Alderson Family Farms - Candyland Flower Review

Image
This was a sample provided by Alderson Family Farms and it arrived in a sealed plastic jar with a humidity control pack, store branding, strain name, and tamper proof stickers sealing the jar. The presentation is quality and represents a vendor that cares how the customer receives their products.  As you open the jar the first impression is nug structure and jar appeal. The nugs here are very large, dense, and have a beautiful overall look. The structure is long fat buds with a semi brittle texture, it slightly crumbles when broken down instead of tearing off.  The overall appearance of the flower is A tier. You get a beautiful range of colors from lighter and darker greens mixed with some light purples. This bud also has vibrant orange pistils and a impressive frost covering the buds. It reminds me of looking at a Christmas tree with all the colors, and is sure to impress the smoke circle on looks alone.  The smell is on par with the name. It's in...

Jiffy Live Rosin - Rosslyn Review

Image
This was a sample provided by Rosslyn, it arrived in a nice branded box that had strain info, packaging date and tier classification. Inside the box is Rosslyns iconic black puck, it looks premium and has a sticker on the bottom telling you strain info.  The first impression after opening this puck was the clarity and color of the rosin, this is a mixed micron batch but you would never guess that from the looks, it has a light uniform color and texture that looks fresh.  The aroma is super clean and fresh, it smells like it was put in the jar yesterday. Because of the mix it's a decently complex profile, on the inhale I get a baseline of sweet and slightly nutty, then you get bursts of gassiness that taper off to a faint rotten fruit smell. It's unique and layered, I spend more time smelling this strain than using it.  The taste is on par with the smell, it's pungent and stains your mouth. You get a medium sweetness that dances with layers of gas, nuttiness, a...

Sherblatto - Flannel Boyz Review

Image
This sample came in a plastic jar with store branding and strain info printed on it. Inside is a 3.5 with a humidity pack to keep everything fresh. Flannel Boyz always comes through with premium looking packaging and includes a humidity pack.  The first impression after cracking the jar was the nug structure. These are beautiful picture worthy nugs that are very large and round. They have a pinecone structure where the bud is fatter at the bottom and tapers off. Decently dense with a texture that breaks off in chunks.  Overall appearance is great. Large nugs with light cream colors and some fiery pistils. Frost level is average with enough to give the buds that creamy haze like look.  The smell on this one is strong, as soon as you crack the jar the room is filled with a lasting scent. It's a mildly sweet gas that's softly blended with a strong lemon terp on the inhale. It almost reminds me of sweet lemon bread. The exhale is also soft gas but with some unique...

Roz From Frasier - Fruit Stand Review

Image
This is a hash rosin disposable provided as a sample from Roz.  The first impression on this vape is great, you get a hashy smell right out of the bag and the oil is ultra light in color and very transparent. There is no cloudiness in the oil at all. It came in Roz's branded mylar bag with a QR code for lab results.  The smell is hash forward in that unique intense way. You also get some sweetness that come with a light berry aroma. It smells fresh and fragrant, super impressive for a disposable to smell like that without heat. The taste on this one is to die for. Very sweet and with fresh fruit flavor, I get blueberries and cherries especially. On the inhale you get the classic hash gas, that then carries all the way through the sweetness and gets soft on the exhale. It's a simple profile that does it right.  The effects here are very balanced. I got a very lifted and euphoric head that made me want to eat and be social. The body had waves of euph...

Golden Triangle - Dr.Wonderstone Review

Image
This was a sample provided by Dr.Wonderstone.  This flower came in a premium mylar bag with strain info and a QR code for lab results.  My first impression of the flower was how it appears. The buds are dark and purple in some areas, but are contrasted heavily by the bright trichomes that cover the buds. This is a nice looking strain. Buds are medium sized and have a good overall trim.  The aroma on this one screams funk. You get a baseline gas that reminds me of OG strains but a stinky funk is also there that reminds me of cheese strains. The funk and the gas are about even with intensity but the funk stands out the most. On the backend you get a slight touch of sweetness that rounds out the aroma.  The flavor is very funk forward. I get a zesty cheese like taste that is then washed away by a chemmy gas flavor. It's something to look out for as funky smelling strains don't always translate well to taste.  Burn quality is very solid. You ...
