    Every so often, a strain with deep legacy status rolls back around with a fresh cut worth talking about — and this week, it’s Khalifa Kush, picked up from The Flower Shop here in Chattanooga. At $12 a gram, it’s priced a bit above average, but this particular batch is testing at 26% THC and offers a uniquely rich and complex flavor and aroma. This is the kind of flower that commands attention right out of the jar — both for its pungent nose and for the smooth, classic kush smoking experience.





    Smell & Taste

    Khalifa Kush hits the nose with a diesel-heavy punch, rounded out by light pepper and subtle lemon citrus notes. It’s unmistakably kush, but with a sharp, almost tangy twist that sets it apart. What stood out most was how fresh and loud this cut is — nothing muted or stale about it. The flavor leans more into the spice and pepper territory, especially when smoked, but still retains that rich, earthy OG Kush core that fans of this strain will instantly recognize. It’s bold, complex, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.

   Effects & Terpene Profile

    Known to be a descendant of OG Kush, Khalifa Kush often brings a balanced hybrid experience, though many report it leans more uplifting and cerebral — and that held true here. I found myself feeling focused, clear-headed, and motivated, with just enough body relaxation to keep things chill without slowing me down. This strain carries limonene, caryophyllene, and pinene in strong concentrations. Limonene may be responsible for that subtle lemon note and mood-boosting effects, caryophyllene for the peppery spice and potential body comfort, and pinene for clarity and alertness. This is a great pick for daytime productivity or creative sessions without dragging into sedative territory.

  Bag Appeal & Burn Quality

    Visually, this is one of the better-groomed batches I’ve come across recently. The buds are dense, well-trimmed, and showcase healthy trichome coverage with shades ranging from pale to deep green. It looks like the care was put in post-harvest, and that translates into the smoke. Rolled in a joint, this flower burned with clean white ash, signaling a proper flush and cure. The hit was smooth the whole way through, with no harshness or bitter residue — exactly what you want when dropping $12/g.
