Wood Wide - Lantz

Image
This sample was provided by White Ash Reserve and came in their standard black mylar bag. The label features the brand, strain name, and weight. I am very honored for the opportunity to cover this flower as it is the winner of the 2026 leaf bowl CA best dessert category, and I am very excited to share my own thoughts.  Cracking open the bag you are met with semi large nugs with a short round shape. The color is a beautiful blend of forest greens, faint purples and a silver sheen of mature trichomes covering the flower. The trichome density is impressive and is complemented by the orange pistils. The trim is beautiful in that there is no excess leaf but the structure of the bud is left intact.  The aroma is candy meets northern forest pine. The sweet side has tropical and citrus notes with some ice cream like softness. The sweet tapers off and then the slightly gassy pine notes come out. You get pine forest floor with a slight dirt like earthiness that b...

Roz From Frasier - Gelonade (BHO)

Image
This is a sample from the legend Ros, it arrived in a white jar with the Roz From Frasier branding they are known for. The bottom lists the strain and weight.  Opening the puck you are met with an ultra light colored product. It's light gold, as if a light is shining through it. The texture is stiff and upon moving it around it crumbles some. There is a sugary consistency but it smooths out with light heat, the sugar chunks are very small, like sand.  The smell is citrus focused as a whole but has a nice depth. The opening is bright lemon peel with very little sweetness. Then there is a warm vanilla and cream note that does carry a smidge of sweetness, there is also a crispy baked goods aroma that tapers off towards the end.  The flavor is very lemon forward and surprisingly does carry some sweetness on the opening. You get ripe lemon peel meets vanilla cake towards the end as a creamy doughy note arises. The vanilla sweetness isn't the most intens...

Sherlocks Glass (Sesh) - Kush Mint Juice

Image
This is a sample from the awesome people at Sherlocks Glass out of NC! This is from their in house "sesh" brand. It arrived in a stunningly designed mylar bag with a label telling you the strain, weight, and provides a QR code to access labs.  Opening the bag you are met with medium sized round buds. The structure of the buds are short and fat, like a pinecone. The color is a vibrant mix of deep purple and dark green with short but bright pistils. Frost level is intense here with head to toe covering and mature, visible heads. The trim is tight but preserves the structure of the buds.  The aroma is classic Kush Mintz with a little twang. You get a fresh and bright mint and floral note on the opening, that reminds me of a strong herb like eucalyptus or lavender. The nose then goes into a slightly sweet and skunky area towards the end, the gassiness is soft but crisp and recognizable.  The flavor leaned way more into the medicinal floral and mint sid...

Crysp - Mangos

Image
This is a sample product from the amazing team over at Crysp. The package arrived with plenty of protection and was very discreet. The puck itself is ultra premium with raised lettering and a label for the strain name, weight, and tier.  Opening the jar you are met with a beautiful consistency and color. There is a pale yellow color that darkens slightly to an orange hue in the thicker sections of the rosin. The transparency is also amazing, in thinner sections of the puck it almost reminds me of fresh press, very little cloudiness. The texture is soft and scoopable but retains its shape at room temp.  The aroma is rare in the sense that it smells exactly as the name implies. Off rip you get a rich and full exotic fruit bite that is creamy, sweet, slightly citrus and ripe. It reminds me almost exactly of an overripe mango. There is a touch of hash depth near the end that carries light gassiness but the fruit is the star of the show.  The taste blew...
