Value Bud - Pink Cookies

Image
This sample arrived in a black pop top container with clear branding. It lists the strain and that it's federally legal hemp.  The first thing I noticed popping the top on this one was how great the structure on the buds are. They are large, long, and fat. The frost is dense and has head to toe coverage. The trim is beautifully done. This is some very beautiful flower. The forest green base gives a classic look when paired with the bright orange pistils.  The smell on this one is classic. You get a nice sweet doughy open from the cookies side that reminds me of a bakery. On the open you also get a nice baseline of gas that carries through the endnote. It's slightly floral and sweet on the backend.  The taste mimics the doughy sweet vibe very well. The first draw you take will remind you of a fudge shop or candy store. The flavor turns gassy and floral near the end. You get a rose like flavor with a subtle layer of gassiness that's satisfying. ...

Smoky Mountain CBD - Lobster Butter

Image
This was a sample provided by Smokey Mountain CBD. It arrived in a sealed white mylar bag, it feels premium and has strain name, weight, store branding, and a QR code listed.  Opening this bag the first thing that I noticed about this flower was its beautiful balance of creams and greens in the color palette. There is a range of greens and even some plum color. The darker pistils also give this flower a very unique look overall. The frost is here but less noticeable until you crack open the buds. The aroma of lobster butter is definitely on the savory side. The first note I got was herby like fresh garlic and thyme with a little wiff of butter. On the backend I got a peppery earth like note that sealed the savory deal. This is a very unique profile to me and I was surprised how much I liked it.  The taste is similar to the smell but loses a bit of that sharp herb vibe. It opens slightly garlicky but very rich and buttery. You get some gassiness and pepp...

Pure Canna Co - Cherry Poppers

Image
This sample arrived in one of Pure Canna Co's now unmistakably designed pucks. It's beautifully done with textured lettering and imaging that gets you excited for what's inside.  Upon opening this puck the first thing I noticed was how clear and light this oil is, it's a very pale yellow almost white. The texture is super creamy and buttery, with noticeable gloss from terp separation. This was cured to perfection. The aroma is absolutely ridiculous and has to be one of my favorites of the year. Sweet candy like strains can be polarizing but I love it, and this is a love letter to the genre. It opens with bright cherry candy, then on the backend you get a subtle gassiness that breaks things up. It's incredibly strong and sweet. It makes its presence known when the puck is cracked.  The taste follows right behind the smell. It opens with a super sweet, bright cherry flavor that's hard to process, it really reminds me of eating candy. Even o...

Lucky Elk - Diamond Cut Disposable (Sour Diesal)

Image
Lucky Elk - Diamond Cut Disposable (Sour Diesel) This device showed up in a premium white mylar bag that is beautifully branded and has a nice finish. Printed on the bag is all the important information you could need from brand info, QR code for labs, how to open the package, and the strain and weight info.  Pulling the disposable out of the package the first thing I noticed was how small and discreet this unit is. If you've ever seen juul vapes this looks almost exactly like that. It's solid black with 0 branding printed on it, there is a small oil window to check your level, and the mouthpiece. Sneaking a hit of this is possible anywhere due to its design.  Taking the rubber stopper out of the device revealed a light oil aroma from the device that smelled lightly citrusy and sharp. It's always impressive to me when you can smell the oil from a disposable before taking a hit.  The taste is great for a diamond based disposable! I get d...

Black Tie CBD - Cereal Milk Review

Image
Black Tie CBD - Cereal Milk  This was a sample provided by Black Tie CBD and it came in a very nice box with strain name, QR code, and store branding.  Opening the puck the first thing I noticed was the texture of this rosin. It's buttery but stiff, it's not super smooth at room temps and holds its peaks. There is a slight greasy film over the wax that shows it has a good amount of terpene content. Overall a nice looking product.  The smell of this wax is out of this world. It's super gassy and pungent. The first thing that hits the nose is a fresh gassy smell, like a forest meets diesel vibe. On the exhale you get some sweetness and a little hint of woody cinnamon. It reminds me of a cake. It's not overly sweet, but very enjoyable.  The taste from this rosin is very similar to the smell. It opens with that same fresh gassy note, but is overall a bit more sweet. On the exhale I got a woody cinnamon note that follows the same sweetness, very ca...

BBXLG - Bacio Gelato Review

Image
This sample arrived in a premium jar that has a nice weight to it, on the label it has strain info, store branding, QR code for labs, and even info on the grow method. This is a luxury presentation and you can tell thought and effort went into it.  You can find BBXLG's products here! The first thing I noticed when opening the jar was how beautiful the flower looks. The structure is very unique with smaller sized buds that have a fuzzy spade shape, they are very uniform and have a perfect trim. The range of colors complement each other as greens flow into deep purples broken up by bright orange hairs. The frost is head to toe with a silver sheen. Certified bag appeal monster.  The smell is very similar to other Bacio's I've tried but with a sharp fuel note. The aroma starts very sweet and doughy with a light berry aroma, it reminds me of a pink donut. On the exhale you get a bit of dank fuel that's sharp and lingers in your nose. I lov...

Crysp - Black Panther Tier 2 Rosin Review

Image
This was a sample provided by Crysp, it arrived in a premium textured mylar jar. The jar has the strain name, tier, and weight listed.  Opening the puck the first thing I noticed was the smell, as soon as the top was off I got an intense aroma of pepper and fresh earth, almost like a forest after a rain. The smell evolved into a slightly sweet gas near the end. Overall a very welcoming and slightly complex profile.  The taste here is very good for tier 2. On the inhale you get a warm peppery note that retains some of the earthiness from the smell, it's woody. On the exhale I got a slightly sweet gas vibe that was very enjoyable to end on. The flavor is rich and full bodied.  The appearance of the rosin is about what you'd expect for a solid tier 2. It's a tanish gold that's matte and not shiny. The texture is close to a crumble at room temp, slightly dry but as it warms it loosened up to a stiff butter texture that was easy to work with and revea...
