Truffle Sundae - Flannel Boyz Rosin Review

Truffle Sundae – Flannel Boyz Rosin Review

Truffle Sundae is a balanced hybrid strain (often listed as 50/50) bred from Chocolate Kush × Gelato 41. It tends to feature myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene as dominant terpenes, which contribute to both its flavor complexity and its effect profile.

Appearance & Texture

The rosin arrived in a triangle glass slab-style jar that feels premium — heavy, airtight, and built for concentrate storage. Upon opening, the rosin struck me with a glossy, slightly wet look: the kind that suggests freshness and careful handling. Visually, it’s very light yellow, somewhere near whitish tones, and soft & scoopable. It doesn’t tear or drag excessively when scooped, which is a sign of good extraction and cure. At room temperature it stays stable, though I store mine in the refrigerator when not in use, which helps maintain that clean consistency.

Aroma & Flavor Profile

The first hit of nose is a high-pitched mix of citrus and fuel, sharply gassy with a lemon twist that smacks the senses. Warm it slightly and the aroma deepens into a richer gas with floral-citrus hints, a shift that shows complexity consistent with a quality rosin. On the flavor side, the inhale carries that bright lemon / citrus note decidedly forward. On the exhale, it transitions into a fuller gas-backed flavor with floral and herbal notes—myrcene and limonene really shine through here. I found that keeping the dab temp under 500°F kept the flavor cleanest: higher temps risk dulling the nuances.

Dabbing Experience & Effects

Smoke / Vapor smoothness is excellent. It’s well cured, no harsh throat burn or off tastes, and the ash / residue is clean: little to no char, and easy to swab up. I typically dab in the 480-520°F range for this one—low enough to preserve the flavor but high enough to get satisfying vapor production.

The effects hit almost immediately. Mind feels racing in a focused, creative way—not scatterbrained, but sharp. The body component is present (behind the eyes, warm relax) without dragging. For me, this was very much a daytime / early evening hybrid vibe—not couch lock, but absolutely potent. Full effects lasted about 2 hours, leaving a lingering euphoric clarity rather than fog.
