HRC - Banana Burger

Image
This is a personal pickup from the awesome people at White Ash Reserve. With HRC I always go for genetics that sound interesting and this one caught my eye due to the amazing experiences I've had with banana terps in the past with this producer.  Opening the puck you are met with an almost glowing blonde hash that has a very light yellow hue. There is a small layer of terp separation on the top that gives the puck a glossy sheen. Mixing up the puck you are left with a stiff butter texture that is in between hard and soft. This puck holds its shape at room temps.  The smell from this one is absolutely fantastic and reminds me why I'm so passionate about this craft. As soon as the top is lifted you get a creamy doughy gas that is sweet but not sugary, it reminds me instead of ripe fruit or honey. The gas is rounded off by the cream and loses some intensity but gains complex depth. There are minor notes of soft tropic fruits like guava and melon as well.  The fla...

Roz From Frasier - Skywalker (BHO) V2

Image
This is a sample included with an order I placed with Roz recently, as always the puck included is branded with Roz's unique and attention grabbing graphics. I always love supporting boutique vendors and Roz always makes it easy to do so.  Opening the puck you are met with a slightly runny consistency, it's not quite soupy but doesn't hold its own shape at room temp. The color threw me off to be honest, I'm not sure if there was a shipping issue or if maybe heat got to this one but there is a mixture of light and dark honey colors streaked throughout, there was also a small amount of leaking.  The aroma from this puck is not like the last batch of Skywalker I received from Roz and I was a little disappointed. This one opens with a zesty slightly citrus note that then carries to a very subtle gassy smell. The gas was a lot more dominant last time and without this odd lemon note. Not offensive but not my type.  The flavor unfortunately follows the nose here, w...

Tesoro - Tropicana Cherry

Image
This is a sample from Tesoro's latest flower drop and I am very grateful for the opportunity to review it. It arrived in beautiful store grade packaging with branding, strain name, potency, and weight listed. I especially love Tesoro's 2 tone mylar design, it's unique and does a great job of sticking out.  Opening the bag the first thing I noticed was the classic trop cherry purple hue, these buds are almost 90% dark purple with the silver frost and orange pistils being the only exception. The trim is a bit rough, there is a good amount of leaf attached but because of that the nug structure is preserved well. The texture is brittle and snappy but not dry, a great cure for sure.  The smell of a good Trop Cherry is one of my favorite expressions of all time, I know it's been around for a while but it's very hard to top it for me. The nose here is just what I was hoping for, intense fruity sweetness, it massively leans cherry but has other suppo...

TenDC - Gelatti Crumble

Image
This is a sample sent out from the kind people over at TenDC. The package arrived with proper documentation and great item protection. The jars the crumble itself came in are slightly larger than the average puck I see, especially for 1 gram.  Opening the puck you are met with a sandy blonde chunk of crumble. The whole gram is in one piece and it has that classic delicate crumble texture, poking it with a tool makes the chunk crack in half. Once broken down some the texture is on the softer side but never gets sticky.  The aroma on this one I wasn't a huge fan of. It's got an artificial lemon like profile that I don't vibe with very well. The first note is sharp chem citrus, almost exactly like a lemon scented floor cleaner. Then the following note is a very faint gas smell that closes the profile, the gas is solid but it's not enough for me to bring the whole smell up to par.  The flavor once dabbed is a lot easier to jive with. The intensity fa...

SHH - Blue Frost

Image
This is a recent pickup from SHH and my second ever time trying flower from this vendor. This order arrived very quickly and was packaged securely. The flower arrived in a black mylar bag with a very small and simple label. On the label the weight, strain, and grow method are listed. This is a smalls bag but honestly I'm impressed with the size and structure of what I got.  Opening the bag you are met with medium to small sized nugs. The trim is nice and tight with only a small amount of sugar leaf left. The color is dominated by a silver sheen coming from the absurd amount of trichomes present, but there is a mix of purples and greens underneath. The trichomes are mature with visible heads and there are TONS of them. The texture is semi crispy with an audible snap when breaking down.  The nose is ultra gas focused with a tinge of sweetness on the backend. It starts with a diesel fuel note that is exceptionally strong and bodied. The gas has a warm toasted characte...

Wildflower Hemp - Chimera Bubble Hash

Image
This is a sample from the cool people over at Wildflower hemp. I met up with them at the @ncc.market last month and their booth and products looked amazing! This is my first time trying a product from this vendor but seeing as chimera is one of my favorite genetics I was very excited.  Opening the puck you are met with a crumble type texture that has a golden hue to the outer edges but then gets a darker almost purple color towards the inside of the crumble. It's very hard and almost impossible to break down with fingers alone, each little pebble is hard and dense.  The smell is intense as soon as the top comes off. You immediately get slapped with a rich layer of dense gas. It's fuel like and has a bit of a floral note towards the end but isn't sweet at all. This is a heavy and savory based smell that will knock your socks off. If you know how chimera usually smells, this is spot on.  The flavor is also insanely rich with gas. I used this as a bowl topper and...

BBXLG - Hash Drops (Grape Escape)

Image
This is a sample I picked up at the 2026 @ncc.market last month. As always with BBXLG the presentation is on point with a reflective bag labeled with dosage, infusion method, and the flavor. This one was originally in the shape of a square, I sadly had a long and hot car ride home that day and the gummy melted on me. 🫠  Even though this gummy melted a bit on me it was still surprisingly easy to remove from the package once it cooled back down. It came out in one piece with a glossy finish on it and didn't leave any sticky residue behind. The texture is soft and ultra squishy, you can stretch the gummy without it tearing much.  The flavor is AMAZING on these. You immediately get a super intense concord grape flavor that reminds me of a grape blow pop almost. The sweetness is moderate for a gummy, while definitely there it's not overpowering or sickly sweet. The chewing texture is soft, it stretches some but bites apart very easily.  Effects took ab...

Tesoro - Purple Frog

Image
This is a personal pickup from Tesoro, I like to check their catalog from time to time and grab things that sound interesting. This one arrived very quickly, about 3 days total and is presented with Tesoro's now iconic branded puck.  Opening the puck you are met with a light yellow glob that reflects light really well. It's glossy with a butter like texture. There is a slight amount of sugaring but it is very minimal. This is a very sticky concentrate and id definitely recommend a hot knife while dealing with it.  The smell was a slight letdown, I was expecting some grape notes but instead got bright citrus. It's the common type that a lot of solvent based products have, not bad but not good, especially if you aren't a fan of citrus. There is a bit of a sweet cake like smell under the citrus that is enjoyable but I wish there was more of it.  The flavor is much better than the nose. On low heat you get a hint of that citrus flavor that's pres...

TenDC - Blue Runtz Crumble

Image
This is a sample from the wonderful people over at TenDC, it arrived in a premium puck that is very large for the weight. The puck features branded decals, QR code for labs, and the weight of the product.  Opening the puck you are met with a sand colored concentrate that is in a classic crumble form. The puck is made up of tiny pebbles of concentrate and has a semi hard texture, the pebbles aren't the easiest to break down further.  Bringing the puck to my nose I was hit with a smooth and relatively tame sweetness as the first note. The sweetness dies down and gives way to a berry type note that is also on the tame side. There aren't any sharp notes here and you do get the slightest BHO smell that is classic with solvent based products.  The flavor is much more intense than the smell. The first note I got on a low temp dab was that same sweetness but turned up a notch. This time it reminds me of a chalky fruit candy like sweet tarts. The berry note...

Hash Rosin Co - Papaya Juice

Image
This jar came as a replacement jar via Jeff from HRC, he was nice enough to make an order right after my original had cooked in the sun. The puck as always is very premium with a label on the bottom with strain and cross info, where it was grown, and the weight.  Opening the puck the first thing I noticed visually is the ultra light color, I would describe it as a buttermilk color, slightly off white. The texture is soft like butter and my hot knife glides right through it. The shape is preserved at room temp and there is minimal terp pooling.  Papaya Juice is one of my favorite cultivars ever based on smell and taste, this one does a great job of reminding me why. The first note is ultra garlicky chem, it's musky and pungent. I get notes of onion and forest floor before the profile twists and delivers a papaya bomb to the nose, it's sweet and refreshing.  The flavor is spot on compared to the smell. You get rich garlic and onion funk with slight c...
