Blueberry Muffin - Top Shelf Review

 Blueberry Muffin

This week’s pickup is a familiar favorite with a twist—Blueberry Muffin, an indica-dominant hybrid sourced from Farm to Med for just $10 a gram. A cross between Blueberry and Purple Panty Dropper, both of which we've reviewed before, this strain carries a nostalgic, bakery-sweet aroma with a subtle gassy undertone that rounds it out nicely. The nugs are dense and round, coated in a steady layer of trichomes and peppered with vibrant orange hairs—visually appealing and full of promise. Lets dive into the terpene breakdown, how it smokes, the taste and smells and of course, the effects!

    Effects/Terpenes

As an indica-dominant hybrid, Blueberry Muffin features myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene as its dominant terpenes. Myrcene brings the body-heavy relaxation, pinene offers a slight mental clarity, and caryophyllene adds a peppery depth that may support mood and stress relief. While some describe this strain as slightly calming and soothing, in my personal experience, it sent me straight into a goofy, sleepy headspace, ready to wind down for the night with a comedy to giggle myself to sleep.

This strain is a great choice for evening users looking to unwind without being completely locked to the couch. Fans of flavorful indicas who enjoy a lighthearted, giggly high will likely appreciate its effects. It may also appeal to those seeking stress relief, mild pain reduction, or help falling asleep, thanks to its myrcene-heavy profile.

    Taste & Smell

Blueberry Muffin lives up to its name the moment you crack the jar. The aroma hits like a fresh tray of muffins straight out of the oven—warm, sweet, and doughy—with a subtle fruity layer beneath it. Its the type of strain to really surprise someone with its very unique, oddly captivating smell. On the inhale, the flavor retains some of that bakery sweetness but takes a slight turn, softening into a mild fruitiness with faint earthy undertones. While it loses a bit of that bold muffin profile in the smoke, the flavor still holds its own and leaves a more than pleasant aftertaste.

Bag Appeal & Price

Visually, Blueberry Muffin is solid but not perfect. The nugs are round and fairly dense, with a visible layer of trichomes and some orange hairs throughout, if i had to pick a negative, the trim doesn't quite hit top-shelf levels. There are a good amount of sugar leaves that do contain a visible layer of trichomes, but add a touch of harshness to the smoking experience. That said, the $10-per-gram price tag is more than fair for what you get, especially considering how strongly this strain performs in aroma and flavor. If you're shopping for terpene-rich flower on a budget, this is a great choice!

Numeric Review

Cosmetic: 8.6  - The nugs are nicely shaped and generously coated in trichomes, with a modest display of orange hairs. While not the best trimmed flower on the shelf, it still shows signs of careful cultivation. Overall a solid looking strain that wouldn't disappoint the smoke circle.

Flavor/Smell: 9.6  - This is where Blueberry Muffin really shines. The aroma hits with that unmistakable fresh-baked scent layered over a fruity, gassy base, and the flavor holds on to a surprising amount of that muffin essence even after combustion.

Effects: 9.2  - Blueberry muffin is relaxing and mood-lifting without being overly sedating, this indica-dominant hybrid offers a goofy, sleepy high perfect for unwinding after a long day or setting the tone for a chill evening.

Overall Average: 9.1/10!
