    This week we’re checking out a standout hybrid from Farm to Med called Dark Queen, a cross between the ever-popular Runtz and the lesser-known but potent Queen of the South. Known for its bold terpene profile and balanced effects, this flower comes in at $10 a gram, but right now it’s on special for $35 for 7g, making it one of the better value pickups in town. With its striking aroma and heavy-hitting high, Dark Queen earns its crown in more ways than one.



Taste & Smell

    The aroma on this strain is seriously something to behold — as soon as the jar opens, it fills the room with a thick wave of sweet mixed berries wrapped in a heavy, fuel-soaked finish. It’s about 70% fruity and 30% gassy, but they’re blended so evenly it comes across as one unified, pungent punch. On the palate, the gas comes through stronger during the smoke, but that subtle berry note lingers on the back end. The flavor is bold, rich, and a great reflection of its Runtz lineage, with Queen of the South adding some heavier fuel elements into the mix.


Effects & Terpenes

    The effects on Dark Queen walk the hybrid line well. The initial head high is uplifting and smooth, promoting clarity and a little creative spark, while the body high creeps in soon after, leaving me deeply relaxed without totally slowing me down. It’s a strain that feels great for midday or late afternoon use — chill enough to wind down but active enough to stay present. Though terpene testing wasn't provided on the packaging, based on the profile and effects, it likely leans into Limonene for the fruit-forward uplift, Myrcene for that body relaxation, and Caryophyllene to round things out with the diesel funk and stress-relief potential.


Bag Appeal & Value

    Visually, Dark Queen presents dense, well-cured nugs with a good trichome frost, mixed greens and purples, and some light orange hairs tucked into the structure. It’s not the flashiest nug I’ve ever seen, but it’s certainly not lacking either. For the price point, especially with the current sale, this strain punches way above its weight. If you’re looking for flavor, potency, and value, this is a cut worth picking up while it’s still on promo.
