    We’re wrapping up our current rosin series with what may be the best of the bunch — Sub Zero, a live rosin concentrate sourced from Top Shelf Bud Dispensary for $50 a gram. Compared to the two previously reviewed strains, this one immediately stands out in every category. From its rich aroma and syrupy texture to its ultra-clean melt and long-lasting flavor, Sub Zero delivers on both quality and experience. If the last few rosins were solid, this one feels like a refined step up — possibly due to better curing or higher-quality starting material. Let’s break it down.





    Taste & Smell

    Straight out of the jar, Sub Zero hits the nose with dense, rich terps — sharp citrus and deep gas layered over a warm, almost fudge-like pungency that speaks to its potency. It smells loud, sticky, and fresh. Once dabbed at low temps, that citrus-gas combo translates perfectly into flavor, coating the entire mouth with intense, lingering terps that hold for 30 minutes or more after a single dab. This is top-tier flavor that leaves a lasting impression.


    Effects & Terpenes

    Effects came on fast and strong — a deep body high that relaxes every muscle, layered under a bright wave of euphoria that kept my head clear and mood elevated. It's a great example of a balanced, full-spectrum high that hits both mentally and physically. While exact terpenes weren't listed, the dominant flavor and effect suggest a strong mix of Limonene, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene, delivering both uplifting and calming effects without overwhelming sedation. Compared to the other two rosins, this one had the most balanced, full-bodied experience — a true standout.


    Appearance & Melt Quality

    The texture here is next-level — a wet, malleable rosin that scoops easily and vapes cleanly. The color is a rich golden brown, like cannabis syrup, and it leaves no black residue, just a bit of clean golden sauce in the banger. Visually and functionally, this is the cleanest and best-performing rosin I’ve reviewed so far. It’s easy to work with, easy to enjoy, and worth every cent at the $50 price point.
