Strawberry Cough - Farm to Med Review

Farm to Med – Strawberry Cough Review

For this review, I picked up a 2-gram jar of Strawberry Cough from Farm to Med, one of Chattanooga’s most consistent sources for quality local flower. As always, it came in the familiar plastic flip-top jar with clear labeling and a QR code linking to lab results. Nothing flashy, just professional and reliable packaging.

Appearance & First Impressions

Opening the jar, the first thing that hit me was a fruit-forward aroma backed up by the sight of nugs heavy with pistils. The bud structure was fluffy and airy, leaning a bit on the dry side, but still showed the kind of careful handling that comes from a hand-trimmed process. Bright orange pistils stood out against a frosty, snowy-green backdrop, giving the flower a mountain-like appearance with fiery streaks running through it.

The nose sits at about an 8/10 on strength — not room-clearing loud, but far from dull. What you do get is a distinct berry-forward scent, like strawberry and blueberry blended together with a classic “weed nug” baseline. Gas is lower than average here, but that works in favor of the fruit, letting the sweetness take center stage. Breaking the bud open didn’t shift the profile much, only intensifying the same berry-heavy smell.

Flavor & Smoke Quality

The flavor mirrors the aroma nicely. On the inhale, you’re greeted with strawberry and blueberry notes, while the exhale gives way to more of a skunky, classic cannabis undertone. Smoke quality was very smooth, with no throat tickle at all, which speaks to the clean trim and cure. Ash burned white to grey — not the whitest I’ve seen, but definitely clean and fully combusting.

Effects & Experience

Effects came on immediately, landing first in my head and behind my eyes. The overall feeling was relaxing yet clear-headed. This strain noticeably dropped my stress level without making me groggy. Instead, I felt calm, content, and uplifted, the kind of high that smooths out your day rather than derails it. I did get hit with a serious case of dry mouth though — definitely one where you want a drink nearby (sip before you rip).

The high lasted about as long as most Farm to Med strains I’ve tried, holding steady for a good while but never tapering off into sleepiness like some of their heavier options. This makes Strawberry Cough great for daytime or all-day use, with balanced effects that won’t keep you wired or weigh you down.

Background & Genetics

While Farm to Med doesn’t typically share their exact genetic or terpene breakdowns, it’s worth noting that Strawberry Cough as a strain has a reputation built over decades. Traditionally, it’s believed to be a cross of Strawberry Fields and Haze, known for its berry-forward sweetness and uplifting cerebral effects. Terpenes often associated with this cultivar include myrcene (for the mellow body feel), pinene (for mental clarity), and caryophyllene (a hint of spice and balance). While this specific cut may vary, it’s clear Farm to Med’s version leans heavily into the fruit-forward character the strain is loved for.

Final Thoughts

Strawberry Cough from Farm to Med is another example of why their shelves continue to impress me. The aroma and flavor are fruit-heavy but balanced, the smoke is smooth, and the effects are relaxing without sedation. It’s one of those strains you can grab for just about any time of day and know you’ll end up smiling.
