Appearance & Cure

    Farm to Med truly put their best foot forward with this batch of Gary Payton. The buds are a beautiful mix of light and dark green, wrapped in long, fiery orange pistils that practically glow. What really impressed me was the trichome coverage — every surface from the sugar leaves to the stem is coated, giving the whole nug a glassy sheen under light. Density sits in that ideal middle ground: not airy, not rock-hard, just the right amount of bounce. Trim work is solid, landing around an 8/10 with only a couple of sugar leaves I personally would’ve snipped.



    The cure is dialed in perfectly. The flower is sticky without being wet, and it breaks apart with a clean snap instead of bending. It’s the kind of cure you immediately recognize as “done right,” especially with how those trichomes cling to your fingers.



Aroma & Flavor

    The nose on this Gary Payton is outstanding — a heavy wave of gas and cream hits first, followed by a richness that reminds me of opening a fresh jar of top-shelf rosin. If you pay attention, there’s even a peppery edge lingering in the background. Once broken down, the aroma deepens even further, leaning even more into those gassy, creamy notes.

    The flavor matches the smell beautifully. Classic gas leads the way, with that pepper note stepping forward more in the smoke. It’s full, flavorful, and surprisingly complex for a hybrid. Every puff delivered exactly what the nose promised.

Smoothness & Effects

    For flower, this smoke is smooth. I didn’t cough once while running it through a joint, and it stayed clean from start to finish.

    Effects come in slow and steady — expect the full experience to land over the course of about 10–20 minutes. It starts with a wave of happiness and relaxation, followed by a creeping head high that brings giggles and a lifted mood without knocking you out. The balance makes it a great anytime strain, though personally I lean toward enjoying it in the evening when I can unwind and really let the high settle in. The experience lasts around an hour and a half and keeps a good pace the whole time.

Overall Impression & Value

    Compared to other Gary Payton batches I’ve tried, this one stands out as fresher, louder, and more potent across the board. The cure is better, the flavor is cleaner, and the effects feel fuller and more balanced.

    The 3 grams came out to about $18 on sale, with the usual retail around $30. It’s a fantastic value while discounted, and even at full price it’s fair considering it’s local, small-batch, and genuinely connoisseur-grade flower. If you appreciate Tennessee-grown craft cannabis, this one’s worth grabbing.

    Blueberries! Imagine breaking open a beautiful round nug while being met with a medley of subtle fruit smells and light gassy notes. This offering from Farm To Med is a bag appeal monster with noticeably well developed trichomes! Its large nug structure and varying shades of green with orange hairs made Blueberries a must try for me.
