Product & Packaging

Crunch Berries arrived in a premium glass jar with a metal lid, immediately giving off a high end feel. The branding is bold and memorable, pulling inspiration from an old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles style logo that instantly stands out on the shelf. The strain name and lineage are clearly listed on the lid, and overall the presentation feels intentional and polished without being overdone.

As a first impression from a brand I haven’t worked with before, Skyland set a strong tone right out of the gate.

Appearance

This flower is visually striking. The buds are large, chunky, and round with a superb hand trim. There are no loose leaves or harsh sugar leaves, yet the flower still retains a natural structure rather than looking overworked. Whoever trimmed this clearly took their time and respected the integrity of the buds.

Color-wise, Crunch Berries leans heavily into dark purple hues with bright orange pistils peeking through, creating a contrast that almost feels Halloween themed. The frost level is exceptional, easily one of the most eye catching aspects of this strain. Trichomes coat the flower from top to bottom, giving it a white, shimmering appearance under the light.

Cure & Breakdown

The buds carried a bit of extra moisture, with very little snap when pulled apart. They were extremely sticky, to the point where broken pieces would cling to your fingers. When broken down, the flower stayed chunky, breaking into larger pieces than you’d expect from a drier cure.

Despite the moisture, it never felt wet or undercured, just very fresh and resin heavy.

Aroma

Right out of the jar, the first aroma that hits is a sweet, doughy note that quickly transitions into a dense gas profile. The two work together nicely, with neither overpowering the other.

Once broken down, the gas intensifies and a subtle berry note starts to come through, rounding out the profile and adding some complexity beyond just sweet and fuel.

Flavor

Crunch Berries was smoked in a joint, and the flavor closely mirrors the aroma. On the inhale, you get sweet dough forward notes that feel rich and dessert leaning. The exhale brings out more of the gas, and that slight berry note finally makes its appearance, tying everything together into a really satisfying palate.

The flavor stayed full and consistent throughout the entire smoke without muting or flattening near the end, which is always a good sign of quality flower.

Burn & Smoothness

The burn quality here is excellent. The ash was pure white, the joint burned slow and evenly, and a light oil ring stayed stable from start to finish. Smoothness is where this flower really earns its keep. The combination of a proper cure and careful trim results in an exceptionally smooth smoke that never felt harsh.

This is true connoisseur level smoke, both in how it burns and how it feels on the lungs.

Effects

Full effects set in around the 15 minute mark. Mentally, Crunch Berries delivers an uplifting, euphoric wave that feels light and tingly without being overwhelming. Physically, it shines even brighter, offering a deeply relaxing body effect that doesn’t drag you into couch lock.

This strain put me in the perfect mindset to relax, eat something nostalgic, and throw on a funny movie. Calm, content, and comfortably grounded.

Effects lasted right around two hours, making it a great evening or night time option for winding down without fully checking out.

Overall Thoughts

Between the premium packaging, meticulous trim, standout visuals, and smooth flavorful smoke, Crunch Berries clearly reflects a lot of attention to detail. While the price point sits just slightly outside what I personally reach for regularly, the quality of the grow and processing is undeniable.

For anyone who enjoys dessert leaning strains with strong bag appeal and smooth, relaxing effects, this is absolutely worth experiencing.
