Wood Wide - Lantz

This sample was provided by White Ash Reserve and came in their standard black mylar bag. The label features the brand, strain name, and weight. I am very honored for the opportunity to cover this flower as it is the winner of the 2026 leaf bowl CA best dessert category, and I am very excited to share my own thoughts.
Cracking open the bag you are met with semi large nugs with a short round shape. The color is a beautiful blend of forest greens, faint purples and a silver sheen of mature trichomes covering the flower. The trichome density is impressive and is complemented by the orange pistils. The trim is beautiful in that there is no excess leaf but the structure of the bud is left intact.
The aroma is candy meets northern forest pine. The sweet side has tropical and citrus notes with some ice cream like softness. The sweet tapers off and then the slightly gassy pine notes come out. You get pine forest floor with a slight dirt like earthiness that blends with the gas for a unique overall experience.
The flavors are more pronounced than the aroma overall, giving me a more complete understanding of why this is a cup winner. You immediately get punchy grapefruit candy with a creamy purple grape finish, it's rich and sweet at the same time. As the sweetness dies down you get a grassy and pine note that carries into the finishing gas flavors. This one is very involved and took me for a sensory ride.

Effects are balanced with an even intensity between mind and body. Physically I felt lowered tension and mild relaxation and euphoria, while mentally there was also a nice cerebral euphoria that kept me entertained and slightly energized. This is a great post work option for me when I don't want something to make me sleepy.

Overall a very solid flower from Wood Wide. I feel like specifically the taste impressed me the most with that unique meets classic candy to pine profile. The flower is also absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations with jar appeal. This is one I'll be actively seeking out again.
