Tesoro - Purple Frog

This is a personal pickup from Tesoro, I like to check their catalog from time to time and grab things that sound interesting. This one arrived very quickly, about 3 days total and is presented with Tesoro's now iconic branded puck.
Opening the puck you are met with a light yellow glob that reflects light really well. It's glossy with a butter like texture. There is a slight amount of sugaring but it is very minimal. This is a very sticky concentrate and id definitely recommend a hot knife while dealing with it.
The smell was a slight letdown, I was expecting some grape notes but instead got bright citrus. It's the common type that a lot of solvent based products have, not bad but not good, especially if you aren't a fan of citrus. There is a bit of a sweet cake like smell under the citrus that is enjoyable but I wish there was more of it.

The flavor is much better than the nose. On low heat you get a hint of that citrus flavor that's present in the smell but it's nowhere near as intense. There is a sweet pastry like note that comes across first, it's sugary and rich. Then there is a moderate skunky gas note on the exhale that is nostalgic and on the classic OG side. A good flavor profile overall.

The effects are great and I jive with the mindset the most. This one slowed my thoughts and gave me some room to think, quieted worries and a general sense of peace. Physically I felt light euphoria mainly in my limbs and a mild relaxation, not sedating at all. This is a great pick if you are overwhelmed with the day.

This isn't a jar I would run back to, but I definitely don't regret the pickup. The effects and flavor are great but the smell is lacking unfortunately. If you are interested specifically in mental effects this could be a good pick!
